Our Name
We are a small "REFORMED" church. A Reformed church basically means that tradition alone, however important, is insufficient and that the "Word of God" (Bible) is the only ultimate source in matters of faith and belief. A Reformed church believes that you are saved by Grace Alone, in Christ Alone, through Faith Alone for the Glory of God Alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). There are many other doctrines or teachings that we could further expound on but these are contained on our "Beliefs" page (under "ABOUT" tab above).
Our name starts as "NEW HOPE". Why? Because the only New Hope that can satisfy and last for eternity is only found in God; his Word (Bible), in Jesus Christ who took upon himself our sin and gave us his righteousness. All other forms of hope are found in things that are temporary - such as worldly hopes and desires.
Our name ends as "CHURCH". A Church is a gathering of individuals with a common faith and united in order to grow in that faith. Our faith consists in God as revealed in the Word of God (Bible), Jesus Christ as the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and the Holy Spirit as the giver of a new heart and the gift of that faith.
We invite you to worship with us every Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 A.M.
